Today probably exemplified what a “normal” day will be like for a while - small ups and downs, but moving slowly in the right direction. Doctors and nurses are reluctant to put any time frame on when extubation will happen - we need to take things day by day and have the patience of Buddha. This could take longer than we expected. But we are all keeping the faith!

In the meantime, Steffan is definitely the most popular patient on the floor in addition to the handsomest. Nurses have been requesting to work with him. So he truly is getting the best care.
